Second Wind privacy policy
Second Wind is provided by LXD Sales and Technologies LLC under the Palidax brand. This Privacy Policy explains how Second Wind handles information when you use the app, including optional accounts, personalized AI, offline guidance, notifications, Apple Watch, widgets, and Premium features.
Second Wind is designed to keep routine app state on your device and to use only the information needed for the features you choose.
1. Information stored locally on your device
Second Wind may store locally: - selected focus areas; - selected language; - Favorites; - notification preferences, including enabled state, time, and frequency; - appearance, background, Live Background, and sound preferences; - AI personalization consent and mode; - current and previously delivered guidance identifiers; - offline guidance reserves; - information used to reduce premature message repetition; - onboarding and app-state preferences; and - other settings necessary to restore your chosen experience.
Local information may be shared with Second Wind's own Apple Watch and widget extensions through Apple-supported mechanisms so those features can display current guidance.
Reset App Data or deleting/reinstalling the app can remove some or all locally stored information, subject to normal Apple platform behavior.
2. Optional accounts and authentication
You can use Second Wind without signing in unless a particular feature expressly requires an account.
If you choose to sign in, available methods may include: - Sign in with Apple; - Google; - passkey; and - one-time email code.
Depending on the sign-in method, Second Wind's authentication service may receive and store an account identifier and information the provider makes available, such as an email address or name.
Second Wind does not require you to create an app password. While signed in, selected focus, language, appearance, Favorites and saved message content, reminder time and frequency, background and sound preferences, and personalization consent are stored in your private Second Wind account metadata and synchronized through our authentication provider. Anonymous changes remain separate and do not overwrite that saved account configuration. Reset clears local data but keeps the account and its saved preferences; deleting the account deletes those account records and associated passkey credentials. Neither operation cancels an Apple subscription.
For passkeys, the private credential remains with your device, password manager, or credential provider. Face ID, Touch ID, device-passcode secrets, and other biometric templates are not provided to Second Wind.
3. Personalized AI guidance
Personalized AI guidance is optional and requires your affirmative choice.
When Personalized AI is enabled, Second Wind may send through its protected service information needed to create relevant guidance, such as: - a random app/client identifier; - your selected focus areas; - your current guidance need; - your selected language; and - a limited amount of recent generated-guidance context used to improve relevance and reduce repetition.
Second Wind does not need to send the following information to generate personalized guidance: - your name; - your email address; - Sign in with Apple or Google credentials; - contacts; - precise location; - photos; - health records; - Favorites; - App Store payment details; or - Face ID, Touch ID, or other biometric data.
If a future feature needs an additional category of information, this policy and any required permission or consent flow should be updated before that information is collected.
4. On-device guidance and withdrawal of AI consent
You may choose on-device guidance instead of Personalized AI.
When on-device guidance is selected, Second Wind uses its built-in and locally available guidance system without sending your focus, current-need, or recent-guidance personalization context for new personalized AI generation.
You can withdraw Personalized AI consent in Settings. After consent is withdrawn, saved personalization context is not sent for new Personalized AI generation.
5. Guidance history and repetition protection
Second Wind uses guidance identifiers and recent-delivery history to reduce unwanted repetition.
Previously delivered message identities may remain excluded for two calendar months on the device, including when you change language or focus areas.
This history is primarily app-operational data used to determine which guidance should be shown next. Resetting app data or deleting/reinstalling the app can remove local history.
6. Offline guidance
After a complete refresh, Second Wind may store up to 14 days of guidance locally in supported languages.
Downloaded or bundled guidance allows supported app functions to continue without requiring a network request every time guidance is displayed.
Open Second Wind periodically while connected to replenish downloaded reserves. If fresh content is exhausted, the app is designed to ask you to reconnect instead of intentionally recycling recently delivered guidance.
Apple controls background execution, so Second Wind cannot guarantee that content will refresh while the app is closed.
7. Languages and local translation resources
Second Wind supports multiple interface and guidance languages.
Supported interface translations may be bundled or stored locally so routine app navigation does not require a live translation request. Downloaded guidance may also be cached locally in supported languages.
Your selected language is stored as an app preference.
8. Notifications
Notifications are optional.
If you enable them, Second Wind stores the preferences necessary to schedule reminders, such as whether notifications are enabled, selected time, and selected frequency.
Apple controls notification permission and delivery. Delivery can be affected by iOS, Focus modes, device state, Apple Watch settings, and other system configuration.
Notification content may contain Second Wind guidance.
9. Apple Watch and widgets
Second Wind may share locally prepared guidance, One Move content, language/display information, and related state with its own Apple Watch companion and WidgetKit extensions using Apple-supported app-group or device synchronization mechanisms.
This sharing is used to display Second Wind content on your devices and is not intended for advertising or cross-app tracking.
Watch and widget refresh timing is controlled in part by Apple.
10. Backgrounds, Live Backgrounds, and sounds
Your selected background, Live Background setting, and calming-sound preference may be stored locally so the app can restore your choices.
These preferences do not require Second Wind to collect photos from your photo library unless a future feature explicitly requests such access and you grant permission.
11. Purchases and subscriptions
Second Wind Premium purchases are processed by Apple through the App Store.
Second Wind may receive purchase or entitlement information needed to determine whether Premium access is active, such as product or subscription status information.
Second Wind does not receive your full payment-card number from Apple.
Billing, renewal, cancellation, and refund processing for App Store purchases are handled by Apple.
12. Account deletion
If you create a Second Wind account, you can initiate account deletion through the app.
Account deletion is intended to remove the account and associated personal data from Second Wind's records except information that must be retained for legitimate legal, security, fraud-prevention, or other permitted purposes.
If deletion requires processing time, the app or support process should communicate the expected status appropriately.
If you used Sign in with Apple, Second Wind's deletion implementation should revoke the applicable Sign in with Apple authorization/token as required by Apple.
Deleting your Second Wind account does not cancel an Apple auto-renewable subscription. Apple billing can continue until you separately cancel the subscription through Apple.
13. Reset App Data
Reset App Data is different from account deletion.
Resetting may remove local: - settings and preferences; - Favorites; - guidance history; - downloaded guidance reserves; - language and focus choices; and - related local app state.
Resetting local app data does not cancel an App Store subscription and does not delete your Second Wind account or its saved account preferences. Signing in again can restore those preferences.
14. Service providers
Second Wind may use service providers to operate specific functions, including: - Apple platform and App Store services; - authentication infrastructure; - protected backend/cloud infrastructure; and - optional Personalized AI generation.
Service providers receive information only as necessary for the function they provide and are expected to handle information under applicable contractual, security, and privacy obligations.
Second Wind does not sell personal information to advertisers and does not use the app's personalization context for third-party advertising.
15. Tracking and advertising
Second Wind is not designed around behavioral advertising.
Second Wind does not intentionally use your focus selections, guidance history, Favorites, AI personalization context, or account information to track you across apps and websites owned by other companies for advertising purposes.
If this practice ever changes, Second Wind will update its disclosures and obtain permissions required by Apple and applicable law before implementing the change.
16. Diagnostics, security, and operational information
Second Wind or its service providers may process limited technical information necessary to operate, secure, troubleshoot, or protect the service, such as request status, error information, timestamps, service performance information, and security-related identifiers.
Operational logging should be limited to what is reasonably necessary and should avoid storing guidance content or personalization details when they are not required for the operational purpose.
17. Retention
Retention depends on the type of information and why it is needed.
- Local preferences, Favorites, cached guidance, and local guidance history generally remain until removed by app behavior, Reset App Data, or deletion/reinstallation. - Delivered-message identity history may be maintained locally for two calendar months to reduce repetition. - Account information may remain while the account exists and for any additional period reasonably required for security, fraud prevention, legal compliance, dispute resolution, or other permitted purposes. - Personalized AI and backend operational information should be retained only as long as reasonably necessary for the function, security, or applicable legal requirements.
Second Wind will not claim a specific server-retention period in this policy unless that period is technically enforced and verified.
18. Security
Second Wind uses reasonable technical and organizational measures intended to protect information appropriate to the nature of the service.
No method of electronic storage or transmission is completely secure, so absolute security cannot be guaranteed.
You are responsible for protecting access to your Apple device, Apple Account, email account, Google account, password manager, and other authentication methods you use.
19. Your choices
Depending on the feature, you can: - use Second Wind without signing in; - enable or disable Personalized AI; - use on-device guidance; - change focus areas; - change language; - enable or disable notifications; - change notification time and frequency; - change backgrounds, Live Backgrounds, and sounds; - manage Favorites; - reset local app data; - sign out; and - request deletion of a Second Wind account.
Some Apple-controlled permissions and subscriptions must be managed through Apple's system settings or App Store interfaces.
20. Children
Second Wind is not designed as a service for knowingly collecting personal information from children.
Availability through the App Store is subject to Apple age ratings, family controls, and applicable law. If Second Wind learns that personal information was collected from a child in violation of applicable requirements, appropriate steps should be taken to delete it.
21. International use
Second Wind may be available in multiple countries and languages. Information may be processed in countries where Second Wind or its service providers operate, subject to applicable legal safeguards.
Mandatory privacy rights applicable in your location are not limited by this policy.
22. Changes to this Privacy Policy
This Privacy Policy may be updated as Second Wind's features, service providers, legal requirements, or data practices change.
Material changes will be communicated when required by applicable law or platform requirements.
The current effective date appears with the policy.
23. App Store privacy disclosures
Second Wind's App Store privacy disclosures should accurately reflect the data practices of the version distributed through the App Store, including applicable third-party SDKs and service providers.
If Second Wind's data practices change, its App Store privacy disclosures should be updated accordingly.
